Game Basics
Giga Zombies is played on a 6×5 grid — 6 columns, 5 rows, giving 30 symbol positions per spin. Unlike traditional slots with paylines, Giga Zombies uses a scatter-pays system: you win by landing clusters of 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the grid, regardless of their position. The more symbols in a cluster, the higher the payout.

Step-by-Step: How a Spin Works
- Set your bet. Choose a stake from the available bet levels (typically €0.10 to €100+ depending on casino).
- Press Spin. The 6×5 grid fills with symbols. One or more GigaBlox land as giant blocks of identical symbols.
- Check for wins. Count clusters of 8+ matching symbols anywhere on the grid. Multiple clusters can pay simultaneously.
- Avalanche triggers. Winning symbols vanish. New symbols cascade down to fill the gaps — new wins are possible.
- Progress bar fills. Each consecutive Avalanche win fills one step of the progress bar, unlocking modifiers at 4, 6, and 9 cascades.
- Chain ends. When no new win forms, the chain stops and a new spin begins.
The GigaBlox™ Mechanic Explained
GigaBlox is Yggdrasil's proprietary mechanic that defines the entire game. Before each spin, the engine randomly selects one or more positions on the grid and reserves a block-shaped area for a giant symbol. All cells within the block display the same symbol type, effectively acting as multiple individual symbols clustered together.
2×2 GigaBlox
The smallest block size. Occupies 4 grid cells. Contributes 4 identical symbols towards your cluster total. Common in base game.
3×3 GigaBlox
Occupies 9 grid cells. Delivers 9 identical symbols — already exceeding the 8-symbol minimum for a win if all align to the same symbol type.
4×4 GigaBlox
The rarest and most powerful block. Fills 16 of the 30 grid positions. A premium 4×4 GigaBlox guarantees a massive cluster win.
Progress Bar & Modifiers
Every consecutive Avalanche win within a single spin sequence advances the progress bar. The bar has three unlock points, each triggering an increasingly powerful modifier:
